Phase 2 · Development and technical partnerships
Savannah Damongo
MRO and aviation centre.
A proposed Ghana aviation campus connecting aircraft maintenance, skills development and the wider Savannah Damongo airport project.
Two initial development options
| Defined planning scope | Indicative US dollars |
|---|---|
| Runway enabling package | $90.31 million |
| One basic servicing hangar | $13.25 million |
| Runway plus basic hangar | $103.56 million |
| Runway plus developed core MRO and opening reserve | $124.27 million |
These are alternative scope allowances for preliminary partner review. The combined developed case removes the duplicated MRO apron allowance. The limited runway and hangar case excludes opening working capital, land, taxes, a passenger terminal, fuel infrastructure, financing and other items specified in the proposal.
Phase 2 proposal and cost model
Annex P2 MRO 01 adapts the supplied Rwanda concept to Damongo, sets out a phased maintenance and training strategy, and provides the runway and minimum hangar addendum. All prices are new, unquoted planning assumptions dated 23 October 2026; the original concept did not contain a project budget.
Development milestones
- Verify the land and airport interface and conduct initial GCAA engagement.
- Complete demand studies, aircraft specific design and supplier quotations.
- Agree funding, delivery responsibilities and the applicable approvals.
- Construct and commission only the approved initial scope.
Aircraft access, runway performance, pavement design and maintenance approvals must be established before operations. This page does not announce an operational airport or certified MRO.
